Public Health Advocates

Public Health Advocates (formerly the California Center for Public Health Advocacy) helps neighborhoods and schools become places that nurture health and well-being. They believe that neighborhoods and schools can be places where the physical, social, and economic conditions make health a reality for all people.

Their website features innovative state laws, including legislation on a school junk food ban, water in schools, menu labeling, and marketing junk food to children.

The site also includes research reports and policy briefs related to supporting healthy sustainable food in schools.  Topics include at childhood obesity and diabetes and the sale of sugar sweetened beverages in schools.
