UC Davis Foods for Health Institute: Children's Health & Education (UC Davis)


FFHI will lead the improvement of individual health through diet by acting as an engine for research, innovation, and economic development supported by competitive research programs, industry collaborations, and philanthropic funding. The Institute links diverse scientific disciplines across the colleges and schools of UC Davis, and develops regional and international multi-stakeholder partnerships.

The science behind genetic and phenotypic diversity has proven that people have highly variable health and health needs. FFHI researchers are invested in health education approaches that are personalized, phenotype-driven, and effective ways to empower school children with real skills to be their healthiest right now.
