Students for Nutrition and eXercise (SNaX)
OVERVIEW:

SNaX is a school-based program that aims to empower students and families to make healthy decisions about nutrition and exercise. On their website, designed for students, parents, and community members, you will find SNaX materials (videos, parent worksheets, student advocate guides, and bookmarks) to help students learn fun facts about healthy eating and exercise and informative activities that students and families can do together.

RECOMMENDATION:

This is a program a group from UCLA, RAND, and Harvard developed over a 10 year grant with LAUSD. The curriculum is now available online and connects to LAUSD Food Services. LAUSD has been doing some work to implement SNaX now that the grant has ended on their own. There is a teacher interface and a student/family interface, along with videos, lessons, and activities.
